Welcome to the blog.

Welcome, DT!

12 December 2019

Today, we’re saying hey to our newest Humaan. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, experienced and always keen to try new things, he was an instant favourite when a dev role opened up. Welcome to the team, DT. We’re glad to have you on board 🙌

Tell us about yourself and how you got here.

Between specialist ICT classes in highschool, hacking my MySpace profile and right-clicking View Source, I discovered a passion for web development. I was in touch with a digital agency while studying for a Diploma of Web Development and, after graduating, went on to work there doing tech support, testing, webdev, and hybrid app development — even relocating to Melbourne for a bit.

Since coming back to Perth in 2014, I’ve done mainly backend dev with detours to front-end and advertising along the way. As soon as I heard Humaan was on the lookout for a developer (thanks for the heads-up, Teegz!), I went for it and now this isn’t just a dream. It’s a reality.

What are you most looking forward to?

All the things! I am constantly impressed by the explosive talent at Humaan and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together as part of a team that’s constantly exploring, learning and pushing the boundaries.

What makes you Humaan?

When I’m not glued to a computer screen, I enjoy hiking, making a mess in the kitchen, chilling out on the couch, watching TV and… I’m always up for a challenge. Currently, this includes yoga and trying to keep far too many indoor plants alive.
