Welcome to the blog.

Welcome, Kristy!

30 April 2018

We’re (sort of) welcoming a new Humaan to the family. Kristy started with us as an intern, but her style and artistic perspective wowed us so much, we couldn’t bear to see her go—so we made it official. Read on for more on our talented new designer:

Tell us about yourself and how you got here.

My creative journey has been an unconventional one so far! It feels like I’ve been around the world and back, as it has taken a while for me to reach Humaan, but I’m so glad I made it. I graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science, started Masters in Pharmacy, worked in Pharmacy then moved to Melbourne to study Optometry (Phew!). I wasn’t completely fulfilled and the one thing I always found myself gravitating back to was design and exercising my creative brain. I graduated last year in Graphic Design and I think my 11-year-old self who wished to be a graphic designer in year 7 would be proud.

What are you most looking forward to?

I am constantly amazed by the extensive talent at Humaan and look forward to learning from some of the best creatives in the industry. I can’t wait to grow and soak up all the knowledge and expertise, to be continually inspired and never stop learning.

What makes you Humaan?

Illustration, an unhealthy obsession with collecting good books and not reading them, dreaming of Copenhagen and everything Danish design.
