Sodashi is an Australian pioneer in all-natural skincare. Having grown from a one-woman home business to a uniquely ethical, international enterprise, they came to us for a new website that would support their eCommerce activity while reflecting the sophistication of their brand.

Successful eCommerce websites rely on engaging user experiences. Our challenge was to create a visually rich and immersive shopping environment that would engage and entertain users as it drives conversion. All while expressing Sodashi's approach to skincare and business.

Unlike many eCommerce websites that feel like an extension of a storage warehouse, the Sodashi online store adopts a clutter-free philosophy to organising and displaying its products.

Large feature imagery and clear calls to action direct user attention throughout the shopping journey, setting the stage for Sodashi's carefully formulated content providing skincare tips and details on the benefit of each ingredient.

The brand story, expressed through design

We wanted the new site to do more than just look the part. Sodashi's "beyond skin deep" attitude to beauty became the ethos of our design, as well as the creative process behind it. Each visual element was handpicked to tell a story, whether it be colour coding for specific product ranges, or decorative highlights that tie back to the company's choice of natural ingredients.

We designed for simplicity and elegance on every page, striking a careful balance of imagery, words, whitespace and animation. Our intention: that users browsing the website could enjoy an interactive, digital sampling of what the luxury skincare brand has to offer.

The new Sodashi website has delivered on many levels, in terms of design, usability and on our commercial goals. Consumers come with a variety of needs. With the aim of catering for as wide an audience as possible, we developed a product recommendation tool that draws from Sodashi's in-house expertise to find the right skincare product for every skin type.

The site was built with Wordpress and WooCommerce, a powerful combination of two well-known platforms, giving the Sodashi team easy tools for managing their site and product content, and paving the way for future development as the company's needs evolve.
