Cancer Council WA works with the community to reduce the incidence and impact of cancer and aims to achieve a cancer free future across the state.
As is common across the not-for-profit sector, the digital presence for any advocacy organisation needs to cater for a broad range of audiences with specific and often polar opposite needs. The new Cancer Council WA website had to deliver essential support information to those experiencing cancer-related difficulties whilst encouraging active participation in the form of research, donations and fundraising.
The brand's iconic visual identity was harnessed to create a website experience that was sensitive to the subject but enabled audiences to engage and support at opportune times, while the content architecture was completely overhauled to provide simple, intuitive user journeys for key audience groups.
The result is an online vehicle that acts as a cornerstone for all the brand's marketing activity and plays an essential support role for those most in need.
