Fremantle Arts Centre needed a website to help generate ticket sales, increase visitation, and better reflect their brand and direction.
We realised early this project would go beyond a mere cosmetic makeover. A multi-faceted solution worthy of a leading Australian arts organisation would truly promote the Centre as a world-class cultural destination and deliver a quality experience for the public.
Given the diverse range of what the Centre offers, our challenge was to ensure a seamless experience for audiences as they journey through the new site. We created a sophisticated yet simple visual environment, featuring a bold branding palette, vivid imagery, and structured content design supported by a tidy information architecture.
Every aspect of the new look and feel aims to encourage further engagement, from the well-defined navigation and user-friendly search-and-filter functions, to the purposefully designed ‘first pages’ of each section, giving audiences a taste of what to expect from exploring further.
By empowering users with self-management tools we pave the way for swift transactions that encourage repeat enrolments and visitation among a captive audience. Similarly, the availability of membership purchases online lowers the barrier to entry, encouraging both engagement and membership renewals through an easy, convenient channel.
The prospect of creating a new website can be daunting but Humaan really took the time to understand my vision for how the site would look and function. After a few briefing meetings, they presented a design which perfectly reflected and communicated the Fremantle Arts Centre brand while ensuring a clear, simple user experience. I love the new site! A separate stream for accepting enrolments via phone or in person is designed into the custom-built backend. Staff can manually create new profiles in their student database and accept electronic payments through the integrated credit card processing platform. This stream is tailored to the Centre’s own administrative processes, reducing the overall learning curve for better productivity.
Simple course and student management features reveal at a glance the courses that meet the minimum enrollee threshold, along with necessary student contact details, special individual needs, and the ability to easily refund course fees in the event of a cancellation.
Centre staff can also generate monthly reports on their courses, enrollees and finances within a familiar system without the need to enlist complex and expensive third-party services.
With these customisations, we transformed Fremantle Arts Centre’s digital presence into a sophisticated solution, capable of streamlining the Centre’s administrative efforts and supporting its day-to-day operations.
