General Manager

Humaan is seeking a General Manager to help position us for the next chapter of growth.

As a successful candidate, you will be equally comfortable in high-level business operations as rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty to solve problems. Your focus will be on results, and you understand what it takes to deliver them. You know how to lead and manage a team, and have an exceptional ability to follow through and deliver.

As General Manager, you’ll execute the business plan and achieve P&L results by leading and managing, and holding the team accountable. You’ll remove obstacles and barriers, standardise and systematise work, and integrate all major functions of the business. You’ll work with the founder to filter and translate ideas into the functional plans for our roadmap.

You will report to the founder and have responsibility for managing all areas of the business including New Business, Client Service, Delivery, HR, and Product.

Responsibilities

  • Run the day-to-day operations of the company and harmoniously integrate the major functions of the business to ensure everyone is moving in the same direction.

UX Strategist

We’re passionate about great human experiences, and consider our approach to UX and strategy fundamental to our success. 

We’re looking for a full-time UX Strategist to work directly with our creative team, our clients and end-users to develop clear and purposeful strategies for outstanding digital products.

You’ll love working with people, as you’ll be facilitating workshops and presentations with clients and users, undertaking considered interviews and surveys with audiences, and working directly with our team to ensure high-quality outcomes. 

A typical week will involve research and strategy, while also getting stuck into the tools to map out user journeys, IA, wireframes and prototypes.

The right candidate will have excellent communication skills, thrive on collaboration, manage their time and priorities with ease, and be able to execute to a very high standard. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to understand their businesses and needs, and develop clear digital strategies.
  • Facilitate workshops, focus groups, surveys and interviews with stakeholders and end-users to understand and validate user needs and personas.
  • Strategise practical, user-centred digital experiences using modern tools and methodologies, prioritising usability, accessibility and systems thinking.
  • Map out user personas, user journeys, IA, and flowcharts based on research. 
  • Create high-level wireframes and prototypes to indicate proposed strategies and execution.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, writers, managers, clients and users to ensure the vision and strategy is executed to the highest level.
  • Use your excellent communication skills to share your knowledge with other members of the team, contributing to the personal development of others as they contribute to yours.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in UX or digital strategy

As a Digital Designer, your expertise will help shape the experiences we create across websites, apps and products. We’re passionate about all things digital here, and encourage you to indulge your passions, get creative, and feel free to experiment and explore.

  • Design practical, user-centred digital experiences using modern design tools and methodologies, prioritising usability, accessibility and systems thinking.

  • Take responsibility for UX and design strategy, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients and their audiences through evidence-based best practice design decisions.

As a Humaan Front-end developer, you care about your craft, have extremely high attention to detail, and are a sucker for finely tuned micro-interactions.  We specifically look for candidates who are passionate about creating great website experiences and bringing static concepts to life through HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

You’ll have at least 3 years of experience working as a front-end developer, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have a knack for managing your time and priorities. Most of all, you thrive in a collaborative environment, you’re not afraid to learn new things, and you can execute to a very high standard.

The perfect candidate will also have experience working with Git, Sass, and a bundler like Gulp or Webpack; as well as an appreciation for coding standards and accessibility.
